Native macOS ยท Local-first

A hidden pocket for your Dock.

Push your pointer to the edge and a Liquid Glass panel slides out โ€” your apps, files and snippets, one flick away. It extends the Dock. It never replaces it.

Everything, one flick away

Built for people who live in the Dock.

๐Ÿซ™

Unlimited stashes

Group apps and files into named stashes โ€” Work, Dev, Games. Switch with โŒ˜1โ€“9.

โŒจ๏ธ

Search & keyboard

Start typing to fuzzy-search across every stash. Arrow keys and Return, no mouse needed.

๐Ÿงฉ

More than apps

Files, folders, websites, Shortcuts, shell scripts and text snippets โ€” each opens the right way.

๐ŸชŸ

Liquid Glass

A translucent panel that feels native on macOS 26, with System, Light and Dark themes.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ

Multi-monitor

The pocket opens on the screen your pointer is on, beside that display's Dock.

โšก

Featherweight

A single cached rect-test on pointer move. Idle CPU near zero, memory in tens of MB.

๐Ÿ“‹

Widgets & clipboard

Clock, battery and recent Downloads at a glance, plus an optional local clipboard history.

๐Ÿš€

Automation

Open a stash from anywhere with โŒฅSpace, the dockbars:// URL scheme, or the CLI.

๐Ÿ”’

Yours alone

Everything stays on your Mac. No accounts, no network, no analytics โ€” by design.

Three moves

It works the way the Dock already does.

  1. 1

    Reach the edge

Move your pointer to the corner beside the Dock. A thin trigger strip is all it takes.

  2. 2

    The pocket slides out

A glass panel springs open without stealing focus from whatever you were doing.

  3. 3

    Open, or move on

Click to launch, drag to add or remove, or just glide away โ€” it closes on its own.

Keyboard-first

Never touch the mouse if you don't want to.

Open the pocket, start typing, and fuzzy search ranks matches across every stash. Arrow keys move the selection, Return opens, โŒ˜1โ€“9 jump between stashes.

Questions

Good to know.

Does Dockbars replace the Dock?

No. It sits beside your Dock as a hidden pocket and opens on hover โ€” the Dock stays exactly as it is.

Why does it need Accessibility access?

To sense the pointer reaching the Dock edge and to read the Dock's position. It requests no network access, ever.

Does any data leave my Mac?

No. There is no network code at all โ€” stashes, clipboard history and statistics are stored locally only.

Which Macs are supported?

macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel.

Privacy is the default

Local-first, not local-when-convenient.

Dockbars has no network code. Your stashes, clipboard history and statistics never leave your Mac โ€” there is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing sending anything.
